Biography

A graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Foley completed her medical internship, residency and three-year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville. She completed her initial sleep training under Dr. Paul Suratt, who is well known and highly respected in the field of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Foley is Board Certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. Her interests include the cardiovascular complications of obstructive sleep apnea and the relationship between apnea and motor vehicle accidents.

Dr. Foley is a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. In addition to sleep medicine, she maintains a busy pulmonary office-based practice and hospital-based critical care practice. Her interests include new therapies for the treatment of asthma and novel therapies and best clinical practice for the treatment of ARDS. She has been a fellow of the College of Chest Physicians for more than 10 years.
