Biography

Dr. Cleary received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his training, including his pulmonary fellowship, at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

Prior moving into private practice, Dr. Cleary served two years as an Air Force Flight Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians, a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Thoracic Society.

Dr. Cleary currently serves as the medical director of Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Cardiopulmonary and Intensive Care Services, and as the chief of the pulmonary section, in the Department of Medicine at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. As one of the founding partners of Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialists of Northern Virginia, Dr. Cleary has more than 32 years of experience in the treatment of pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine.
